Collection One
Our first collection was born from a desire to highlight the inherent beauty of our organic hardwoods — each object has its own personality, pure and authentic to the material's natural aesthetics, and focused on underscoring the essence of wood and slow craft.
We believe that the path to a more sustainable home starts with timeless design — ethically and slowly crafted from high quality, natural materials that will last a lifetime.
This small, thoughtfully considered collection consists of six unique pieces that include accent tables, seating, and functional objects for the home that celebrate the dynamic attributes of wood — sculptural, architectural, and wonderfully made by nature.

A Journey To Spain
To tell the story of our first collection, we traveled to La Hermandad, an Iberian villa in the heart of Extremadura Spain.
Within the 18th century villa walls, we saw our collection come to life for the very first time, in both subtle and dramatic ways that support modern living.

European-Caribbean Design
To create these six foundational products, we worked with Berlin-based designer, Rebecca Goddard. Each design was guided by a keen sensitivity to the wood’s distinctive characteristics, as well as the intention to embrace traditional craft in woodworking.
Timelessness as a form of sustainability also became a guiding principal, resulting in designs that connect well to the aesthetic values of minimalism, defined by flexible functionality, and influenced by design simplicity and refinement found in Northern Europe.

Sustainable Materials
Our designs are hand-crafted in Honduras from FORESTA’s very own sustainably grown, ethically harvested teaks.
Every piece of timber we use is sourced from our own ICF certified plantations which were organically cultivated two decades ago.
We think this connection to our plantations makes FORESTA unlike any other interiors brand, and it gives us the unique capability to trace the timber’s origin all the way back to the coordinates of where the tree stood.

Conscious Manufacturing
Each FORESTA product is manufactured by a single artisan workshop in Honduras, near to where our timbers are grown. Working locally allows us to keep our footprint small while supporting the prolongment of traditional forestry and woodworking.
The manufacture we’ve partnered with is more than just a vendor to us, and we think of them as family. Together we work hand-in-hand to slowly create and refine each design.
We are dedicated to fair-trade and pay our craftsmen and women the same fair price for each item they produce, regardless if they are making five or fifty pieces.

Authentic and Natural
Through these designs, we celebrate the beautiful irregularities given to us by nature, as well as the subtle marks of singularity left by the hands that slowly craft each FORESTA product.
We love all of the aspects that make our products unique — from the forester’s nurturing of the seeds, all the way to the artisan’s last pass of sandpaper.

A Vision Beyond Design
As an ethical and environmentally conscious brand, we lean into this slower, kinder, and more caring way of bringing designs to the market.
Through our collection, we hope to inspire new ways of thinking and spark conversations that put sustainable living, mindful consumerism, slow craft, and the environment in focus.
